an important lesson

 First year students at Medical School were receiving their first anatomy class with a real dead human body. 

 
They all gathered around the surgery table with the body covered in a white sheet. The professor started the class by telling them, "In medicine,it is necessary to have two important qualities as a doctor. The first is that you should not be disgusted by anything involving the human body." 
 
The Professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in the anus of the corpse, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth. 
 
doctor"Go ahead and do the same thing," he told his students. The students initially freaked out, hesitated for several minutes, but eventually took turns sticking a finger in the anus of the corpse and sucking on it. 
 
When everyone finished, the Professor looked at the class and told them, "The second most important quality is observation. I stuck in my middle finger but sucked on my index finger. Now learn to pay attention!"

the deer lion and forest fire

 



In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth.
She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river.
This seems a safe place.
Suddenly labour pains begin.
 

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.
She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.
To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.
 

What can the pregnant deer do?
She is in labour!
What will happen?
Will the deer survive?
Will she give birth to a fawn?
Will the fawn survive?
Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?
Will she perish to the hunters' arrow?
Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?
 

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other &
boxed in by her natural predators.
What does she do?
She focuses on giving birth to a new life.
The sequence of events that follows are:
- Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.
- He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.
- It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.
- The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.
 

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides
with negative thoughts and possibilities.
Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us.
Maybe we can learn from the deer.
The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.
The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus
would have likely resulted in death or disaster.
 

Ask yourself,
Where is your focus?
Where is your faith and hope?
 
In the midst of any storm, do keep it on God always.
He will never ever disappoint you. NEVER.
Remember, He neither slumbers nor sleeps...

And the Moral Is...
 
A teacher told her young class to ask their parents for a family story with a moral at the end of it, and to return the next day to tell their stories.
 
In the classroom the next day, Joe told his story first, "My dad is a farmer and we have chickens. One day we were taking lots of eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the truck when we hit a big bump in the road; the basket fell off the seat and all the eggs broke. The moral of the story is not to put all your eggs in one basket."
 
"Very good," said the teacher.
 
Next, Mary said, "We are farmers too. We had twenty eggs waiting to hatch, but when they did we only got ten chicks. The moral of this story is not to count your chickens before they're hatched."
 
"Excellent!" said the teacher again, very pleased with the response so far.
 
Next it was Barney's turn to tell his story: "My dad told me this story about my Aunt Karen ... Aunt Karen was a flight engineer in the war and her plane got hit. She had to bail out over enemy territory and all she had was a bottle of whisky, a machine gun and a machete."
 
"Go on," said the teacher, intrigued.
 
"Aunt Karen drank the whisky on the way down to prepare herself; then she landed right in the middle of a hundred enemy soldiers.
 
She killed seventy of them with the machine gun until she ran out of bullets. Then she killed twenty more with the machete till the blade broke. And then she killed the last ten with her bare hands."
 
 
"Good heavens," said the horrified teacher. "What did your father say was the moral of that frightening story?"
 

"Stay away from Aunt Karen when she's drunk."

An Open Letter To A Husband From A Breastfeeding

 


 
A Girl's First Time
 

 
Dear husband of a breastfeeding wife,
Do you know what your wife does all day? She feeds your child WITH HER BODY. This little creature that grew inside her for 9 months is still depending on your wife for all of its nutrition and hydration. You may have been told that newborn babies nurse every 2-3 hours. What they didnt tell you is that the baby might not grow out of this for a while. Your baby might nurse every 2-3 hours for an entire year or more (this could mean your wife spends over 4,000 HOURS nursing your baby in its first year of life). Your wife does not have 2-3 hours of free time in between feedings.
Consider this scenario:
Baby starts nursing at 10 AM. Baby nurses for 45 minutes. Your wife tries to put baby down at 10:50 AM. Baby wakes up at 11 AM. Baby needs a diaper change. It is now 11:05. Your baby will want to nurse again at 12 PM. Your wife has less than an hour till her body is needed again. In a perfect world, she could put the baby in his jumperoo, put in a load of laundry, clean the kitchen, and vacuum the living room.
(This thought experiment does not take into account variables such as the baby spitting up, wanting to be held during his nap, or the diaper change being a blow out requiring a change of clothes and possibly a bath.)
Guess what: your wife is tired. Breastfeeding is REALLY hard work. Your wife burns 650 calories a day making the milk that feeds your baby. Your wife is lucky to sleep 2-4 consecutive hours each night. Your wife is a MOM now. Offer to hold the baby while she showers or naps. Make dinner (or just pick something up on your way home). Pitch in around the house (or at least dont complain about the mess). It might get better as the baby gets older but it might not. Your wife is trying to do the best she can.

A woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground at West Coast park one fine Sunday Morning.
 
"That's my son over there" she said, pointing to a little boy in a red T-shirt who was gliding down the slide.
 
"He's a fine looking boy," the man said. "That's my son on the swing in the blue T-shirt."
 
Then, looking at his watch, he called to his son.
 
"What do you say we go, Jack?"
 
Jack pleaded, "Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes."
The man nodded and Jack continued to swing to his heart's content.
 
Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his son. "Time to go now?"
 
Again Jack pleaded, "Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes."
The man smiled and said, "O.K."
 
"My! You certainly are a patient father," the woman responded.
 
The man smiled and then said, "My older son John was killed by a drunk driver last year, while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with John and now I'd give anything for just five more minutes with him. I've vowed not to make the same mistake with Jack. He thinks he has five more minutes to swing. The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch him play."
 
Life is not a race.

Home Remedies to Control Hair Loss


 Regular Massaging with Basic Oils
 
Regular massaging of the scalp with lukewarm oil helps to stimulate the hair follicles. This is also an easy way to cure hair growth deterrents like dandruff and fungal infections. Regular massaging increases the blood circulation in the scalp. It is also useful for lowering anxiety or stress that is often the underlying reason for thinning of hair. Recommended oils for 3 to 4 times-a-week massaging schedule includes coconut oil. You can alternate this with mustard oil. Keep the oil on for at least six hours before washing it off with a mild shampoo. Other oils that can be mixed with coconut oil in trace amounts for faster results include almond oil.
 
Natural Concoctions for Preventing Hair Loss
 
Coconut milk is among the richest sources of tissue-nourishing, plant derivatives. It is an excellent home remedy for keeping the hair soft without depending upon chemical formulations and regenerating dead hair follicles. You can also use a concoction of coconut oil mixed with half the amount of Amla oil. Just add a dash of lemon juice to this mixture and you have an effective, dandruff-fighting and scalp-healing concoction that arrests receding hairline.
 
Natures Effective Hair-stimulating Juices
 
Wheatgrass juice is one of the most effective remedies against hair fall. It is known to decrease the shedding tendency of hair within a few weeks of regular intake. Aloe vera juice has a similar effect. However, aloe gel can be applied to the scalp too. This is helpful for preventing hair loss due to irritated, dry or infected scalp. After massaging the head with aloe gel, wash the hair with lukewarm water. This can be done twice, every week.
 
Slightly Demanding But Very Effective Natural Therapies
 
You can make your own hair fall-preventing medicine at home by frying some fenugreek (methi) seeds in coconut oil. Strain this mixture and apply it in minimal amounts, rubbed gently into the hair roots. Alternatively, you can boil some henna leaves in mustard oil. After cooling and straining this preparation, add drops of it in your coconut oil container that you are using for regular massaging.
 
Homemade Pastes
 
You can wash the hair with a paste made from Neem leaves. This is particularly effective for hair loss caused due excessive build up of scalp oil or invasive skin infections. Keeping people happy is one of the signs of God's presence in your heart because spreading and ensuring happiness around you is the a human-nature-based instinct which is concretely linked with Universal principles of God.
 
 
Making people laugh for a short span of time is not to be considered as keeping them happy altogether because laughter is just a sub-set of happiness. You might make person giggle or feel good by a joke, a sitcom, a nice instant comment but this feeling is for a very short span of time but keeping people happy for long terms is your real achievement because it indicates a permanent demonstration of your character trait for possessing high degree of care and love for others.
 
Below are some good assessment points for you in terms of people's behaviour towards you:
 
   Do people, directly or indirectly, appreciate you for your kind words and deeds quite often?
 
   Do people keep in touch with you by sending text, emails, phone calls etc?
 
   Do people trust in you and discuss their personal problems with you to seek advice?

Living in the Past


"You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last one."
 
Many people become the product of their pasts. They are the causalities of regret, sorrow, what ifs, and hindsight vision. While we can all learn from our past, staying there is not practical to living in the present. The past can't be changed or relived. To constantly dwell on it does not create an emotionally healthy outlook.
 
If you carefully observe the people who are in stress, you will notice that they keep thinking about a specific event, conversation, failure, brawl or hard luck again and again which has happened to them in past. Such people do not have control on their thinking process hence they allow their brain to keep wandering in the past. While It's a known fact that bad luck happens to everyone, it's people's attitude and the quantum of reaction which defines the degree of stress. Since stress and happiness are vice versa so more stress results in less happiness or in some cases loss of happiness.
 
Always remember that everyone passes through tragic moments in life however you will agree that the more you think about bad things happened in the past, the more magnitude of stress you give birth to.    Hence the chains of negativity and stress around your neck need to be broken and thrown away so as to move on with your life.
 
The fact remains the same that you cannot change the past, neither you can boil the ocean so a wise person would not keep thinking about something which has already happened instead he would learn the lesson from the past and take measures which need to be done in order to prevent such happening in future. A wise man will always focus on the solutions instead of thinking about the problems.
 
So here is what I recommend:
Take a pen and list down all the issues bothering you right now. You will, eventually, end up with a very limited number of issues causing depression back and forth. Now the next step is to split these issues into two groups. One group for which you do have some solution and the other group should contain the issues which are out of control. The worries and sorrows from the second group should be shun away. You need to train your brain not to think of something which is beyond control. Divert your focus on the issues for which you can do something. Do it now because this time will also become past and you would be cursing these moments for taking action at right time.

. Wash your face or your hands with cold water on hot days, and warm water on cold days.
 
. Laugh out loud ( LOL!). Laughter is a great way to reduce stress.
 
. Move away from your computer, smartphones, etc. and observe your surroundings.
 
. Take your shoes off, and walk barefoot. Enjoy being barefooted for a minute.

The lemon is a citrus with a great aroma, that blends wonderfully with food and drink, but also has many other uses, thanks to its antibacterial effect. The lemon is rich in vitamin C. It is considered a strong anti-oxidant and contains 5% acid, which makes him a very useful tool.

. Ant Repellant - Pour some lemon juice around any infested areas to keep them at bay!
 
. Air freshener - An equal amount of water and lemon juice, placed in a air freshener, will supply your house with a nice fresh scent.
 
. A clean tub - An equal amount of water and lemon juice can also be a very effective cleaning supply against mildew and fungus accumulating on the sides of your tub and/or shower.
 
. Disinfectant - A small amount of lemon juice can be a great companion to vinegar as a cleaning supply, and can help neutralize the strong smell of the vinegar. It will also greats fortify the disinfection.
 
. Microwave - Heat up a bowl of water and lemon wedges in the microwave for 30-60 seconds. Next, clean the microwave. Those previously hard to remove stains will now be easily removed and the 'food smell' will be neutralized.
 
. Refrigerator - Storing half a lemon in the fridge will help prevent unpleasant odors. 
 
. Cleaning Chrome / Brass / Copper - Mix lemon juice with drinking soda and dip a clean towlet in it. Wipe down the surfaces thoroughly and then rinse well and wipe down with dry paper to get them to look like new!
 
. Bathroom - Mix 1/2 a cup of borax powder with a glass of lemon to clean the toilet perfectly and leave it smelling clean and fresh.
 
. Faucets and sinks - Use half a lemon to remove limescale build up on your sinks and faucets. Rinse well and redo as required.
 
. To make your laundry whiter, add a 1/2 cup of lemon juice for the washing duration of the machine and hang up the clothes to dry. A teaspoon of lemon juice in the machine during wash will give your fabric a fresher smell.
 
. Dishes - To remove fat substances on tools, add a teaspoon of lemon juice to the dish soap.
 
. Drainage - A mixture of hot lemon juice and drinking soda can improve your drainage and help unclog it.
 
. Trash can - If you throw a few lemon peels in the trash, it will help to neutralize the bad odors coming from the rest of the food stuffs.
 
. Cutting Board - Rub half a lemon on a wooden cutting board, leave it like that for the night and wash it the next day. The lemon juice will help kill bacteria accumulating on the board, and will of course neutralize any bad odors.
 
. Glass and Mirrors - 4 table spoons of lemon juice mixed with 2 litres of water will make for an effective mixture to clean windows, mirrors and glass surfaces.
 
. Furniture - 2 parts of olive or cooking oil, add one part of lemon juice to make a wonderful solution for polishing furniture.
 
. Hair brightening - To brighten your hair, pour some lemon juice on it and sit for an hour in the sun.
 
. Hair sofetning - Lemon juice mixed with a glass of warm water can be used as a great hair mask. Soak your hair in the liquid for a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly. If you have a sensitive scalp, however, this may not be the solution for you.
 
. Cuts, stings and skin irritation - dribble a small amount of lemon juice on small cuts, and although it will probably sting a bit, it should help stop the bleeding and disinfect the wound. In addition, applying lemon juice to stings should alleviate the feeling of discomfort and itchiness. 
 
. Removing bad smell from hands - If you were handling something odorous like fish or onions, washing your hands in lemon juice is a great way to get rid of those odors without drying or damaging your skin.

Advice From a 101 Old Doctor

 


Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara, Japan, turned 101 last year.
 
As a 97 year old Doctor, he was interviewed, and gave his advice for a long and healthy life.
 
Shigeaki Hinohara is one of the world's longest-serving physicians and educators. Hinohara's magic touch is legendary: Since 1941 he has been healing patients at St. Luke's International Hospital in Tokyo and teaching at St. Luke's College of Nursing.
 
He has published around 15 books since his 75th birthday, including one "Living Long, Living Good" that has sold more than 1.2 million copies. As the founder of the New Elderly Movement, Hinohara encourages others to live a long and happy life, a quest in which no role model is better than the doctor himself.
 
Doctor Shigeaki Hinohara's main points for a long and happy life:
 
* Energy comes from feeling good, not from eating well or sleeping a lot. We all remember how as children, when we were having fun, we often forgot to eat or sleep. I believe that we can keep that attitude as adults, too. It's best not to tire the body with too many rules such as lunchtime and bedtime.
 
* All people who live long regardless of nationality, race or gender share one thing in common: None are overweight. For breakfast I drink coffee, a glass of milk and some orange juice with a tablespoon of olive oil in it. Olive oil is great for the arteries and keeps my skin healthy. Lunch is milk and a few cookies, or nothing when I am too busy to eat. I never get hungry because I focus on my work. Dinner is veggies, a bit of fish and rice, and, twice a week, 100 grams of lean meat.
 
* Always plan ahead. My schedule book is already full until 2014, with lectures and my usual hospital work. In 2016 I'll have some fun, though: I plan to attend the Tokyo Olympics!
 
* There is no need to ever retire, but if one must, it should be a lot later than 65. The current retirement age was set at 65 half a century ago, when the average life-expectancy in Japan was 68 years and only 125 Japanese were over 100 years old. Today, Japanese women live to be around 86 and men 80, and we have 36,000 centenarians in our country. In 20 years we will have about 50,000 people over the age of 100...
 
* Share what you know. I give 150 lectures a year, some for 100 elementary-school children, others for 4,500 business people. I usually speak for 60 to 90 minutes, standing, to stay strong.
 
* When a doctor recommends you take a test or have some surgery, ask whether the doctor would suggest that his or her spouse or children go through such a procedure. Contrary to popular belief, doctors can't cure everyone. So why cause unnecessary pain with surgery I think music and animal therapy can help more than most doctors imagine.
 
* To stay healthy, always take the stairs and carry your own stuff. I take two stairs at a time, to get my muscles moving.
 
* My inspiration is Robert Browning's poem "Abt Vogler." My father used to read it to me. It encourages us to make big art, not small scribbles. It says to try to draw a circle so huge that there is no way we can finish it while we are alive. All we see is an arch; the rest is beyond our vision but it is there in the distance.
 
* Pain is mysterious, and having fun is the best way to forget it. If a child has a toothache, and you start playing a game together, he or she immediately forgets the pain. Hospitals must cater to the basic need of patients: We all want to have fun. At St. Luke's we have music and animal therapies, and art classes.
 
* Don't be crazy about amassing material things. Remember: You don't know when your number is up, and you can't take it with you to the next place.
 
* Hospitals must be designed and prepared for major disasters, and they must accept every patient who appears at their doors. We designed St. Luke's so we can operate anywhere: in the basement, in the corridors, in the chapel. Most people thought I was crazy to prepare for a catastrophe, but on March 20, 1995, I was unfortunately proven right when members of the Aum Shinrikyu religious cult launched a terrorist attack in the Tokyo subway. We accepted 740 victims and in two hours figured out that it was sarin gas that had hit them. Sadly we lost one person, but we saved 739 lives.
 
* Science alone can't cure or help people. Science lumps us all together, but illness is individual. Each person is unique, and diseases are connected to their hearts. To know the illness and help people, we need liberal and visual arts, not just medical ones.
 
* Life is filled with incidents. On March 31, 1970, when I was 59 years old, I boarded the Yodogo, a flight from Tokyo to Fukuoka. It was a beautiful sunny morning, and as Mount Fuji came into sight, the plane was hijacked by the Japanese Communist League-Red Army Faction. I spent the next four days handcuffed to my seat in 40-degree heat. As a doctor, I looked at it all as an experiment and was amazed at how the body slowed down in a crisis.
 
* Find a role model and aim to achieve even more than they could ever do. My father went to the United States in 1900 to study at Duke University in North Carolina. He was a pioneer and one of my heroes. Later I found a few more life guides, and when I am stuck, I ask myself how they would deal with the problem.
 
* It's wonderful to live long. Until one is 60 years old, it is easy to work for one's family and to achieve one's goals. But in our later years, we should strive to contribute to society. Since the age of 65, I have worked as a volunteer. I still put in 18 hours seven days a week and love every minute of it.

When you were child you had a pure mind; the mind which was free from worries and anxieties. As the time passed, you were influenced by several social, personal, familial and official crises such as financial complications, broken relationship, lack of trust, joblessness, failure in business, loss of respect and so on. When the mind is stressful, the associated germs of negativity, jealousy and pessimism add fuel to fire and hence your pure mind becomes impure.

These impurities if taken out can bring back the mental purity hence real spirit of joy of childhood can be attained up to an adequate level. Off course you cannot fix all of your problem at once but you can train your mind to develop the skills which can help either bypass or overcome the depressed and tragic situations so as to give you a big time relaxation while you focus on the solution to your problems. Below are some techniques which can be used to combat the peace stealing triggers:
 
Mind your own business. Yes, please mind your own business. When you start being concerned about things which are not related to you, you lose your grip on your thought process which often results in negativity disturbing the mental peace. Basically, your mind starts wandering here and there. As you know that a non-focused mind is evil's workshop hence the germs of negativity and jealousy gain more strength. So next time an unnecessary thought comes to your mind, think whether this is really something you should be worrying for? If not, shun it right away and focus on something positive, practical and fruitful.
 
Surround yourself in positive people. Ignore negative comments and stay away from negative souls. When someone is negative, he spreads negativity and you get affected. Permanently staying with such people will have long term impact on your character so think about your company.
 
Don't think about others too much. Remember the great quote: small minds discuss people; Average minds discuss events; Higher minds discuss ideas and Great minds act in silence. Don't allow your brain to compare yourself to others as this is an insult to yourself. Don't be Jealous; it's a heart killing disease, get rid of it as soon as possible. When you are jealous you focus on finding faults in others even if they don't have. This poisons your soul and steals the mental peace.
 
You can't keep everyone happy. Don't be over sensitive. Be natural and genuine in what you do. Be positive, constructive and ethical in your deeds and then don't really care too much about others. Be aware, don't apply this formula to too closed relations. Develop trust to establish powerful relationships.
 
Control your mood swings as it is an indication of unstable personality. Do it by not being over sensitive to others. Stop being reactive and implosive. Stay calm.
 
Ignore your thoughts about being unlucky. Bad luck happens to everyone. It's not your fault at all. Time whether good or bad, passes quickly. Develop the power of not looking back into your past. Believe in the power of Now. Believe in your skills. Work hard and have faith in God; you will get what you have been entitled for. Be patient and see what God has planned for you. Patience and consistency in your deeds is the key to success.
 
Simplicity in your character and living style can overcome the stress and improve your happiness index. Don't be socially sensitive and start following every single trend your social circle is following.
 
With these recommendations, I believe you can bring major changes in your life style hence attain back your mental peace.

One of the most common and frustrating impediments to worker productivity is conflict between employees. Unresolved conflict can strain relationships, create tension and negativity, and dampen morale. Whether engaged in a heated debate, a disagreement, or an outright feud, take a strategic approach to resolving the problem. You'll be most effective if you avoid making these common mistakes.
 
Don't make assumptions about the situation or the other person's perceptions, motivations, or reactions. You'll get a much clearer and more accurate picture by asking the other person directly.
 
Don't take it personally - it rarely is!
 
. Don't look for blame. Instead, try to identify cause.
 
. Don't avoid the problem. It'll only get worse, breed resentment, and resurface at a later date. You've simply got to deal directly with the issue at hand.
 
. Don't attack the other person's character. That's just playing dirty. It will not help you work things out and it will almost certainly have a lasting, negative impact
.
 
. Don't gossip about the problem or about the other person involved. It's unprofessional and will only make matters worse.
 
. Don't bring it up in public. This is a private matter to be resolved between you and the other party.
 
. Don't bring it up when there's not enough time to address it. Instead, leave adequate time for a thorough discussion - or introduce the issue and schedule a time to resume talks in the immediate future.
 
Don't bring it up when you're angry, stressed, or feeling ill.That's a disservice to you and the other person involved. Wait until you're calm.
 
. Don't address the situation in an email. Email leaves far too much room for misinterpretation. While we're on the subject, don't copy others on a personal matter. This will almost certainly make the other party feel defensive, angry, or humiliated. It won't, however, help resolve the problem.

The teacher asked her class what each wanted to become when they grew up. A chorus of responses came from all over the room.
 
"A football player."
 
"A doctor."

Everyone that is, except Little Johnny. The teacher noticed he was sitting there quiet and still.
 
So she said to him, "Johnny, what do you want to be when you grow up?"
 
"Possible" Little Johnny replied.
 
"Possible?" asked the teacher.
 
"Yes," Little Johnny said. "My mom is always telling me I'm impossible. So when I get to be big, I want to be possible."

Today, upon a bus, I saw a very handsome man,
And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly he rose to leave,
I saw his hobble down the aisle.
He had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as he passed, he passed a smile.

I have two legs; the world is mine.

My Friend and His Pen

 


I had known a friend of mine who used to say that he misplaces and loses his pen very often. He will use only very cheap pens so that he need not worry about losing them. He was worried about carelessness habit.
 
I suggested to him to buy the costliest pen he could afford and see what happens. He did that and purchased a 22 carat Cross pen. After nearly six months I met him and asked him if he continues to misplace his pen. He said that he is very careful about his costly pen and he is surprised how he has changed!
 
I explained to him that the value of the pen made the difference and there was nothing wrong with him as a person!
 
This is what happens in our life. We are careful with things which we value most.
 
* If we value our health, we will be careful about what and how we eat;
 
* If we value our friends, we will treat them with respect;
 
* If we value money, we will be careful while spending;
 
* If we value our time, we will not waste it.
 
* If we value relationship we will not break it.
 
* If we value our parents love/care we will not break it.
 

Carefulness is a basic trait all of us have,we know when to be careful!
 
Carelessness only shows what we don't value......

Meditation - A Self Help Technique to Relax Yourself

 


Self hypnosis promises the most as a meditation tool!
 
Meditation is considered as one of the best ways to reduce stress, lower your blood pressure and increase longevity. While there are several ways to use meditation as a relaxation method, self-hypnosis gives you the additional benefit of temporary behavior modification. Contrary to what you might imagine, self-hypnosis is a very simple procedure that you can learn very quickly and only requires a few days of practice to master. This is what you do in a few easy steps:
 
Select a comfortable position like sitting, lying down, etc, away from all distractions for at least 10 minutes.

Start at your feet, feel your toes and feet relaxing, keep repeating rhythmically to yourself the words "relax, relax" as a mantra as you feel a warm tingling sensation in each muscle in your body. Feel your feet totally relaxed, keep your thoughts focused on relaxing the part of the body youre working on. Experience the calming down effect of letting go of all tension.
 
Travel up to your legs concentrating in your principal muscles, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, hamstrings, torso, abdominals, your chest, back, hands, arms, head and face. Feel pleasure as each part of your body is rid of tension. Undergo the transformation from tightness to looseness.
 
When you reach your chest pay particular attention toward your breathe, making sure to take deep breathes, inhaling and exhaling to a totally relaxing pace. Let go of all tensions feel the tightness disappearing from your back and shoulders, come into contact with the feeling of relaxation in each part of your body as your travel through it. Include your face muscles and your neck, following a sequence to include the entire body.
 
After covering all your main body parts independently go around your body a second time now at a faster pace while concentrating in larger portions of your body feeling your entire feet and legs completely relaxed. Feel the gentle warmth traveling your entire body, keep your thoughts in this sensation, still repeating to yourself to relax. As you approach your chest area go through the breathing cycle.
 
Once you accomplish a state of deep relaxation where your thoughts are away from your usual routine and into your body you may select to give yourself a suggestion at this point. You are in a very susceptible state, you may repeat to yourself: I will come out of my self-hypnotic state full of energy ready to do my project X with enthusiasm. Or you may say to yourself: whenever I experience anger I will feel love and trust for myself or others and I will react with compassion. I will have a strong desire to forgive myself and others. Repeat these or other suggestions several times during your hypnotic condition. Do not attempt to make multiple suggestions in the same session.
 
Try it now, do it today, you will see instant results; just dont expect miracles, only improvements. Develop a routine to meditate once or twice a day. Remember, the more you do it the easier it becomes. In a few weeks you will be able to relax under the worst types of conditions and very quickly. Meditation as part of a strategy to take care of your emotional health and well-being can add decades to your life and will greatly improve your ability to relax and concentrate. Additionally, self-hypnosis in particular will take advantage of the power of suggestion in practically any area of your life where you can use a little help.

The news is filled with stories about hackers cracking passwords. You can help avoid being a victim by never, ever using these passwords:
 
Password. Believe it or not, this is still a common password. Dont use it.
 
Letmein. We recommend that you use passphrases that are memorable. Just dont use this one. It ranks high on several lists of the most-used passwords.
 
Monkey. This common word appears on many lists of popular passwords. Its also too short. Make passwords at least eight charactersthe longer the better.
 
Your pets name. While youre at it, dont use any passwords that can be easily guessed, such as the name of your spouse or partner, your nickname, birth date, address, or driver's license number.
 
12345678. Avoid this and other sequences or repeated characters such as 222222, abcdefg, or adjacent letters on your keyboard (such as qwerty).
 
Bonus password tips
 
Dont use the same password for multiple sites. Cybercriminals can steal passwords from websites that have poor security and then use those same passwords to target more secure environments, such as banking websites.
 
Change your passwords regularly, particularly those that safeguard your computer, important accounts (like email or Facebook), and sensitive information, like financial and health data.

Really Touching

 


At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question:
 
'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection.
 
Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do
 
Where is the natural order of things in my son?'
 
The audience was stilled by the query.
 
The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'
 
Then he told the following story:
 
Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.
 
I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'
 
Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.
 
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.
 
In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.
 
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again.
 
Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.
 
At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?
 
Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.
 
However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.
 
The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed.
 
The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay.
 
As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.
The game would now be over.
 
The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.
 
Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.
 
Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates.
 
Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first!
 
Run to first!'
 
Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base.
 
He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.
 
Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!'
 
Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.
 
By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball . the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.
 
He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head.
 
Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.
 
All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'
 
Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third!
 
Shay, run to third!'
 
As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!'
 
Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team
 
'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.
 
Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!
 
AND NOW A LITTLE FOOT NOTE TO THIS STORY:
 
We all send thousands of jokes through the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about life choices, people hesitate.
The crude, vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplace.
If you're thinking about forwarding this message, chances are that you're probably sorting out the people in your address book who aren't the 'appropriate' ones to receive this type of message Well, the person who sent you this believes that we all can make a difference.
We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the 'natural order of things.'
So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice:
Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up those opportunities and leave the world a little bit colder in the process?
A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them.
You now have two choices:
1. Delete
2. Forward

Things to Forget


You are surely so much careful about yourself. You definitely love yourself so much that you take care of yourself more than anyone else in this world. So you must understand how to improve yourself in any field. Improving yourself and your life must be your primary choice.  In the way of improvement, we take so many things seriously while there there are many things we should be so much careful about.
It is said that everyone in this world is selfish. But do you know that there are many things that you can forget about yourself? You dont even have to think about those things. If you have never thought about it, here is list that you can follow.
 
Forget if You Know Someone Hates You:
In life, there is no point to remember the people who dont love you. Your life is very important. You must live to be loved by others, not to be hated by people around you.  Because you love yourself and what to improve your life. But it doesn't mean that you have to hate them. Everyone has their own choice. May be, they have found something in you to hate for. If you dont understand the reason why people dont love you, it is better not to think about that. It is a lot better to start living your life in your own way.
 
Forget if You Know That Someone is Angry on You:
Anger is an inseparable part of our personality. Your life will always keep bringing it in front of you. Actually, it is not actually possible to totally control your anger. But if you try hard to control your feelings and emotions it may be possible. Think about how many times you have been angry in your life till now. It doesnt matter how many times you got angry. What matters is that your anger got always reduced after a certain time. So if you know that a person is angry on you for any reason and you are being tense for that, there is no use. 
 
Improve your mentality and forget the fact that he ( she ) will always be angry on you. Think more about the fact that it will reduce after a certain time. You just need to wait for that time. If the person is very close to you, it is not possible to keep the anger for a long time.  There is something to remember that generally, those who are close to you get angry on you. Those who are not close to you and have no connection with you will never even think about being angry on you. If you know that someone having no connection with you is angry on you, it is not actually anger, this is something more than that. Yes, life is really mysterious sometimes.
 
Forget if You Miss Someone so Much:
Do you miss someone you love? If yes, i would suggest you not to miss anyone just because he or she is not with you. Missing someone doesnt give any satisfaction of mind. Rather, it only increases your dissatisfaction of your mind. Life is to think about positive things, not to think about the negatives of life. If you are strongly connected with a person, there is no logic in missing that person.
 
If you miss your life partner so much, think that somewhere in this world, your partner is still with you. Improve your understanding with your life partner. Then it will be a lot easier. However, i have to say that controlling this kind of feelings is a little difficult for people who are in love

 
Forget the Fact if You are Alone in This World:
Being alone in this world is not something to regret for. If you are sad for it, let me tell you that there are so many other people who are alone in this world. They also live a lonely life. Being sad for this reason is not actually going to give you anything. But if you prepare yourself to build good and strong connection with the people around you, it is much better than only being sad. Life has so many things to be proud of. Even if you are alone in life, there is always someone with you. It is God. So it is better to forget it and think about building relationship with people around you. Try to improve your connection with people around you. You life has to be easier. 
 
Forget the Things You Can Not Do:
If you are totally unable to do something in your life, it is better to forget everything about it. If you only remember it and get sad without taking serious action to be able to do that, it is better to forget it. Sometimes, we become very much sad when we are unable to do something while people around us can do it. In such times, it is better to work on yourself to improve your ability rather thinking about what you can not do in life. If you are sure that you will never be able to do that, it is better to totally forget it.  Forget your inability to do that and also forget the time you failed. In the beginning, it may be a little difficult for you. But actually it is not. Keeping a thought about your inability to perform a job will only increase your mental dissatisfaction and reduce your self-confidence. Life must be lived proudly with full confidence, not by bending your head all the time. Always think about improving yourself and the quality of your life.
